Although our family has good discipline around usage of technology and usually follows healthy digital habits, from time to time we need to take a break from our gadgets and perform digital detox.
Digital Detox is the time when person refrains from using electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets, computers etc.
During digital detox access to green space promotes attention restoration, improves behavior, reduces stress, along with providing many other mental and physical benefits.
For spring break this year we chose this beautiful secluded resort in Texas Hill Country.
This resort is specifically built to make it easy to be off the grid and to reset your natural cycle.

Proximity To Wilderness:
Here you will find, variety of walking, biking, and hiking trail for bird watching and for butterfly watching. Trails going through thick jungle and close to lake Buchanan where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
Canyons of Eagle is located on north east shore of lake Buchanan in Texas Hill Country. It is only an hour drive from Austin and 2 hours drive from San Antonio.
With 14 mile long hiking and biking trail and one of the darkest skies in Texas, this is a very peaceful place away from city and yet so close to other bigger towns if need to be.
There are options of RV Site, Camping Site and very well furnished cabins to choose from.
Outdoor Activities for Entire Family:
On most days, Canyons of the Eagle offer many complementary activities like guided day or twilight hiking tours or many other activities for kids and families either free or at nominal cost .
There is a marina on site to rent kayak and observatory onsite with complementary programs to enjoy the sky on most nights.

Off the Grid:
This resort has wireless connection only in their office ! Which is away from most residential quarters. There is beautiful gathering area surrounded by residential quarters where kids and family pets can roam and play freely. Guests gather here during evening for marshmallow roast and live music.
All in all beautiful experience.
